Prospector is a single-screen (non-scrolling) action game that combines elements of Donkey Kong and other games, perhaps the original Mario Bros. The object is to collect all of the gold on the level while avoiding the enemies. The gold is positioned like the rivets supporting the scaffolding on the fourth level of the original Donkey Kong arcade game. However instead of just running over them, the Prospector must drop down and hang from the girder. While hanging he's safe from the enemies. He can also jump to avoid them, but he has no attacks. You can collect items that momentarily freeze the enemies. The main frustration is that your character has to be exactly positioned to collect the gold or go up/down ladders, which can be frustratingly twitchy. Graphics are average at best.
