Description

Gemma is an interesting looking but confusing puzzle / board game hybrid. The author describes it as having "elements of chess and maze-solving" but it seems like it involves a lot more luck than either of those activities. The goal is to move your piece from the starting position to the exit. Each tile has arrows on it. You can only move in the directions indicated by the tile that the OPPONENT'S piece is on. (I was very confused because I missed that point when I skimmed the rules.) It's an interesting idea, and the program itself is professionally presented, but it doesn't seem very fun to me. You can play against the computer or you can play a two-player game sharing the same mouse/keyboard, which is a plus.
