Description

The most simplistic maze game you're likely to find. The object is to guide your player to the exit of randomly generated mazes. That's it, no fancy powerups, enemies, etc. Just basic graphics and PC speaker sound effects. Nothing special or exiciting but it does work, the executable file is only 29k in size, and might be appropriate for young children.Dedale is a classic DOS-based maze exploration game released in 1993, developed by Philippe Thibault. It is a puzzle and strategy game where players navigate through 3D mazes, encountering various challenges and trying to solve the maze while collecting objects and avoiding dangers. Key Features: 3D Maze Exploration: Dedale is known for its 3D maze design. The game uses basic pseudo-3D graphics that create a labyrinth with walls, doors, and pathways. The player controls a character and must explore, navigate, and manipulate the environment to solve puzzles and progress. Puzzle Solving: As you explore the maze, you’ll encounter puzzles or challenges that must be solved to proceed. These might include unlocking doors, finding hidden objects, or activating mechanisms. The game features a variety of puzzle types that require logic and spatial reasoning. Collecting Items: Throughout the maze, you will encounter items that can be collected. Some of these items are necessary for solving puzzles or accessing new parts of the maze. Players will need to carefully manage the items they pick up, as they may be needed to progress further or unlock new areas. Obstacles and Hazards: The maze is filled with obstacles such as locked doors, traps, or enemies that must be avoided. Some parts of the maze may feature dangerous elements that the player needs to avoid or disable. Progression: The player must navigate through increasingly complex mazes, gradually opening up more areas and uncovering hidden secrets. As you progress, the mazes become more difficult, introducing new types of puzzles and challenges.
